Fabric Swap 20th June in South East London
We’re thrilled to be part of the Sustainable Fashion Fair at The Catford House on Saturday, 20th June!
Expect a fun-filled afternoon of creativity, including a weaving workshop with Fiona Chambers, mending with Make Mee Studio, T-shirt upcycling, and much more!
We’ll be hosting our Fabric Swap from noon to 3 p.m.

Got pieces of fabric tucked away in your stash that you’ve never used? Patterns gathering dust, or notions that are just taking up space? Maybe it’s time to give them a new home… and discover something else that may spark your next make!
One person’s leftovers could be the beginning of someone else’s creation.
How it works
It’s simple:
1. Bring along good-quality, clean fabric remnants (1 meter or more). Make sure to label it with its length and fibre content, if known. You’re aso welcome to bring sewing patterns or haberdashery items you no longer need.
2. Drop them off at our tables, and grab a drink at the bar!
3. Explore donations from other makers. Take what inspires you, leave what you can share, and connect with fellow sewists!
** Even if you don’t have anything to swap, come along anyway! There just might be a fabric or pattern with your name on it.
Giving back
Ticket proceeds go to Lewisham Donation Hub. This volunteer-run charity collects and redistributes food, clothing, toiletries, and household essentials to anyone in need, including families, asylum seekers, and people experiencing homelessness, across the borough and beyond.
Any materials left unclaimed at the end of the event will be donated to local schools and charities.
Getting there
It all takes place at The Catford House, London SE6. There’s no dedicated car park, and on-street parking can be tricky, so public transport is easiest.
It’s a short walk from both Catford Station (mainline from Blackfriars and Victoria) and Catford Bridge Station (mainline from London Bridge), or a short bus ride away from Lewisham Station (mainline and DLR).
